2:15 p.m. Back to the Basics – (Mary Lee Nielson, City Commissioner, Valley City) This session will break down the basics of an
effective meeting. Creating an effective agenda and basic meeting ground rules are just a few areas that will be covered.

3:30 p.m. Robert’s Rules of Order – (Dean Aakre, NDSU Extension Service) Using parliamentary procedure is an excellent way
to conduct meetings in an efficient and effective manner. Learn the basics, get some practice and bring your questions.
