About Jan Jordan
Jan Jordan Jan Jordan was member services manager for the North Dakota League of Cities during the last eight years of her employment and worked for the League in other areas for a total of 27 years. In her position with the League, she was responsible for many areas of member services including meeting planning. Over her tenure at the League, she was the first friendly, helpful voice on the phone.

Jordan’s love for North Dakota and her passion for helping cities thrive was evident in her willingness to do what it took to get the job done. Jordan instigated the City Government Week program and the Mayor for a Day essay contest for third grade students. With her stewardship, the programs achieved success in bringing to light the importance of municipal services and public service.

She once said that when she started working for the ND League she was just looking for something to do for a couple of years. “Well, I must have liked it, because it’s been 27,” Jordan said.

Jordan is active with her church, is secretary of her condominium association and volunteers for the Ruth Meiers House and the Abused Adult Resource Center. She is an avid scrapbooker and plans to spend her retirement making cards, scrapbooking memories and pinching her grandsons’ cheeks.
