The North Dakota League of Cities Annual Conference brings together community leaders from across the state to share ideas, explore best practices, and strengthen local leadership.

Future Dates:

• 2026: September 16–18 — Alerus Center, Grand Forks
• 2027: September 21–23 — Bismarck Event Center, Bismarck

Every two years, in December of even-numbered years, city leaders from across North Dakota gather in Bismarck for the Biennial Legislative Workshop. This important event helps municipal officials stay informed, engaged, and ready to represent their communities during the upcoming legislative session.

Future Date is December 3, 2026.

The Local Government Capitol Connection (LGCC) is held in Bismarck and hosted in partnership with state associations and brings together local government leaders and state policymakers for a day of learning, discussion, and collaboration.

Future Date is March 24-25, 2027.

During the summer, the NDLC legislative team travels across the state to meet with city officials face-to-face. These Regional Listening Sessions are a cornerstone of NDLC’s commitment to staying connected, listening to member needs, and ensuring that every community’s voice helps shape the future of local government in North Dakota.

The Spring Workshop & Elected Officials Training is held each March, featuring sessions tailored to the needs of elected and appointed officials.
